Young talent thrives in the industry: Vita Plus intern gains valuable experience this summer

A new Vita Plus intern is gaining valuable experience in dairy nutrition consulting and sales. Carol Traynor is participating in a dairy nutrition consulting internship this summer in which she’ll gather data from approximately 30 dairy farm owners and managers to complete a benchmarking survey project. In her role, Traynor will work with dairy producers throughout Wisconsin to gain real-world experience in providing nutrition and management expertise to dairy farms.

Traynor is working toward a bachelor’s degree in dairy science with an agribusiness minor from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, with graduation expected in December 2026. She has been a farmhand on her family dairy farm in Milton, Wisconsin, since 2011, and has prior experience as a marketing intern for a dairy supply and equipment provider as well as serving as a Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Lane ambassador.
