This is a great opportunity to lead teams in a production environment. This includes manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, ingredient purchasing, customer service, budgeting and staffing. Additional responsibilities include coordinating all safety initiatives and leading internal and external customer service activities to strengthen relationships, grow sales volume, and improve profitability. The operations manager will partner with senior leadership on annual budgeting, capital projects and large purchases. Enviromental Health and Safety Specialist (Vita Plus Madison)
The environmental health and safety specialist will assist with establishing safety standards and training programs. Additional responsibilities include conducting facility walk throughs and annual audits ensuring all necessary regulation compliances (including but not limited to DOT, OSHA, EPA) while promoting a behavior-based safety culture. Candidates need working knowledge of safety training, excellent communication and organizational skills, a lift truck license, OSHA 30-hour general industry or construction card, and at least a bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or equivalent career experience in safety compliance within the feed and grain industry.
