Geiser Named Vita Plus Dairy Specialist (April 2012)

(Madison, Wis.) – Alex Geiser was recently named a Vita Plus dairy specialist.  Working in northeast Wisconsin, Geiser will provide ration balancing, nutrition consultant and management expertise to dairy producers.  He will coordinate with Vita Plus technical staff to offer customized solutions to meet customers’ production goals.  Geiser will also work closely with dealer partners in the area to support Vita Plus products and programs that help them reach their objectives.

From Hilbert, Wis., Geiser is a 2011 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in dairy science.  He also holds an associate degree in agribusiness and science technology from Fox Valley Technical College.  During his collegiate years, Geiser placed first in the regional American Dairy Science Association (ADSA) dairy quiz bowl competition and was a National Dairy Challenge Platinum Award winner.  He served as chair of the Regional ADSA Student Affiliate Division, vice president of the UWRF Dairy Club and assistant herdsman at the UWRF lab farm.  Most recently, Geiser worked as the foreman for Goodright Dairy, where he managed herd health and reproduction protocols.
