(Madison, Wis.) - Nathan Hrnicek was recently hired as a Vita Plus forage products specialist. Hrnicek will work closely with the eastern region dairy team to provide on-farm forage support for staff and dairy producers in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. Additionally, he will work with the Vita Plus forage team to research and continue to provide the highest level of expertise on forage products for producers.
(Madison, Wis.) - Dr. Keith Lesmeister recently joined the Vita Plus staff as a dairy specialist. Based in western Iowa, Lesmeister will work closely with the western region dairy team and dairy producers in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Kansas to provide high-quality custom diet formulations and forage analyses.
(Madison, Wis.) Ron Skoyen was recently named the Vita Plus Dodgeville assistant manager. Skoyen will work closely with the Vita Plus Dodgeville team to oversee daily plant operations and customer service. In addition, Skoyen will be involved in all financial planning decisions and he will continue to help the team exceed all safety and quality initiatives.
(Madison, Wis.) – Tyler Johnson recently joined the Vita Plus team as a beef technical specialist. Johnson will provide technical support for beef producers in the Minnesota, western Wisconsin, and northern Iowa territories. He will work closely with Vita Plus staff to provide on-farm support and troubleshooting to help producers achieve their production goals.
(Madison, Wis.) – Charlie Kunisch recently joined the Vita Plus team as a dairy and beef specialist. Kunisch will be responsible for serving producers throughout the northern Michigan area. He will work closely with the dairy and beef teams in the area to consistently provide nutrition and management expertise to help producers achieve their production goals.
(Madison, Wis.) – Sabrina Portner was selected as the 2017 Vita Plus summer calf intern. Based in the Madison, Wisconsin, Portner will work with Vita Plus field staff and dairy farms across the Midwest to perform a dairy cattle maternity management audit while gaining a greater understanding of the feed and livestock industry. The goals of her project are to identify the most important factors that lead to a smooth transition for the cow and a healthy start to life for the calf.
(Madison, Wis.) – Dr. Matthew Gabler was recently named a Vita Plus regional sales manager. Based in south central Wisconsin, Gabler will supervise and work closely with Vita Plus sales staff in the Dodgeville and Lake Mills areas. Additionally, he will provide leadership and nutritional expertise to help producers reach their production goals and achieve long-term growth and success.
(Loyal, Wis.) – Vita Plus Loyal and Vita Plus Kennan have proudly selected eight high school seniors as recipients of the 2017 “Our Future is Agriculture” scholarships. This program recognizes deserving students with long-term career interests in agriculture. Students must plan to enroll in an accredited vocational/technical institute, community college or four-year college or university that offers an academic major in a field related to agriculture.
(Madison, Wis.) Marin Western was recently selected as the Vita Plus dairy nutrition and management fellowship student at Michigan State University. Western will spend three semesters and a summer earning her master’s degree while simultaneously gaining experience in dairy nutrition and management consulting. Vita Plus will fund the credits throughout the duration of the experience in return for the research and project support she will provide.
(Madison, Wis.) Dave Henning recently joined Vita Plus as the operations manager of the Vita Plus Columbus feed mill. Henning will provide leadership and structure to help all feed mill operations run safely and successfully. He will also be tasked with coordinating and enforcing all company and regulatory requirements to ensure all manufactured feeds meet customer satisfaction.
(Madison, Wis.) Kari Herbrand has recently joined Vita Plus as a formulation specialist. Herbrand will be responsible for handling and processing formulation requests and custom mixes to assure each mix meets customers’ satisfaction. She will also help update and maintain various nutritional software databases to provide field staff with the most accurate programs to serve customers on farm.
(Madison, Wis.) Garrett Rozeboom recently joined the Vita Plus staff as a regional swine technical service manager. Based in southern Minnesota, Rozeboom will provide leadership for the swine team and assist with all nutrition programming. Rozeboom will also oversee product development to ensure all Vita Plus products continue to meet customer satisfaction.

Stillman will provide ration balancing, nutrition consulting and management expertise to dairy producers throughout central Wisconsin. She will offer customized solutions to help dairy producers meet their production and business goals.

Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Connelly is the fourth student to participate in the program. She will gain experience in dairy nutrition and management consulting spanning three semesters and a summer. Vita Plus will fund the credits throughout the duration of the experience in return for the research and project support she will provide.

Fitzpatrick will provide customized nutrition and management consulting to dairy producers throughout northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota. She will also offer dairy record analysis and cutting-edge technical expertise to help dairy producers meet their production goals.

They are Chelsea Daines, Iowa State University; Amber Johnson, University of Minnesota; and Marin Western, Michigan State University. They will work on different teams, focusing on specific projects for the duration of the summer, while learning the values of Vita Plus.
