Brett Stuart, Global AgriTrends – Brett Stuart was raised on a cattle ranch operating in Utah and Wyoming and is currently the president of Global AgriTrends, a firm that provides global market research, analysis, and forecasting to clients around the world.  In this role, Stuart conducts research and analysis in the global meat trade area, as well as advise government representatives on international trade issues.  He will discuss the impacts of African Swine Fever and coronavirus (COVID-19) in China, when the Chinese pork industry is expected to recover, how this will affect U.S. markets, and what the recent China “phase one” trade deal means for U.S. pork producers. 

Dr. Steve Meyer, Kerns & Associates – Dr. Steve Meyer has served the swine industry in various roles since 1987, including serving as director of economics for the National Pork Producers Council, owner and president of Paragon Economics, and vice president of pork analysis at Express Markets Inc.  He is currently an economist with Kerns and Associates, assisting livestock producers with risk management decisions and financial analysis.  He will share the latest on the swine markets and what producers might expect in the coming year.
