Raley Named Vita Plus Grain Merchandiser (May 2013)
(Madison, Wis.) – Kate Raley was recently named grain merchandiser at Vita Plus Fall River and Vita Plus Lake Mills. She has worked for Vita Plus for the past 15 years in grain accounting. Most recently, Raley assisted with the implementation of new feed formulation software to be used throughout Vita Plus. In her new role, Raley will oversee all grain procurement and sales at the Fall River and Lake Mills facilities. She will work directly with producers on grain procurement, coordinate farm marketing meetings and organize truck schedules.
Raley grew up on a hog farm near Columbus. She earned her associate’s degree in accounting from Madison Business College. Raley is a project leader for the Welsh Prairie 4-H Club, clerk for the Town of Courtland, and a member of the Columbus Agri-Business Committee. She and her husband have three daughters and are actively engaged in many community and school projects. The family also raises small animals on its hobby farm in Fall River.
