Loken named Vita Plus livestock specialist

Tommie Loken recently joined Vita Plus as a livestock specialist. Loken will work closely with the Vita Plus Dodgeville and Spensley Feed Sales teams to serve beef and dairy producers throughout southwest Wisconsin. She will help producers select the nutrition strategies and products that best fit their unique farms and situations to achieve their production goals.

Loken grew up on her family’s beef farm in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, where she continues to serve as herdsman. She uses her knowledge and experiences to focus on the family’s breeding program and makes management decisions when buying and selling cattle. Loken earned her bachelor’s degree in animal science with a minor in agriculture communication at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Her previous career experience includes working with customers to effectively diagnose and treat metabolic diseases, direct breeding programs, and provide nutritional information. She also is involved with the Iowa County Fair, serving on the board of directors and in other roles.
