De Jager Named Cornette Farm Supply Dairy Specialist (August 2018)

(Madison, Wis.) – Dietric De Jager was recently named a Cornette Farm Supply dairy specialist.  Working in northeastern Wisconsin, De Jager will provide nutrition consulting and offer customized solutions to help producers meet their goals.  In addition, he will work closely with the Vita Plus dairy team in that area to continually offer cutting-edge technical expertise.

De Jager grew up in Friesland, Wisconsin, where he worked on his grandparent’s dairy farm and was involved in the Randolph-Cambria-Friesland FFA Chapter.  He attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in dairy science and a minor in agricultural business.  De Jager also spent time as an intern assisting the herdsmen of a dairy farm.  His duties included monitoring pre- and post-fresh heifers, diagnosing and treating sick cattle, keeping records in DairyComp 305, and completing other regular maintenance tasks.  Through this experience, De Jager gained a practical understanding of the many facets that make a dairy farm successful.
