Using 5-hour ENERGY® for a calf can be the quick-pick-me-up a calf needs. Use only one bottle or dose of 5-hour ENERGY on calves that are lethargic or slow, especially during cold weather. Once given, you should see the “pick-me-up.” If you don’t see this result, do not repeat the treatment. 5-hour ENERGY should only be given once. If a calf needs a “pick-me-up,” she most likely needs electrolytes and a good once-over to make sure she is not sick due to scours or pneumonia. The idea is to get the blood flowing, resulting in a more energetic calf. This will hopefully help her return to normal behavior, or at least give them energy to take in the calories necessary to address any underlying reason for lethargy.
