Miller named Vita Plus safety manager

(Madison, Wis.) – Brad Miller recently joined Vita Plus as safety manager based in Madison, Wisconsin. He will ensure corporate safety standards and develop supporting training procedures throughout the Vita Plus network of manufacturing, grain storage, and fabrication facilities in the Midwest. This will include overseeing compliance with all state and federal regulations and agencies. In addition, Miller will continue to develop and promote a behavior-based safety culture for all employee owners throughout the organization.

Miller grew up in the Madison, Wisconsin, area. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison to earn his bachelor’s degree in political science and then joined the U.S. Army, earning progressive promotions while also acquiring a master’s degree from UW-Whitewater in Environmental, Safety and Health. Miller has more than 20 years of experience in safety management for several organizations, guiding and developing their safety programs. He also completed seven tours with the U.S. Army, serving in Afghanistan, Iraq and Korea. He is currently a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, attends the Army War College where he is working on a master’s degree in national strategic studies, and serves as a brigade commander at the Rock Island Arsenal in Illinois.
