Connelly Selected As Vita Plus Dairy Nutrition and Management Fellowship Student (August 2016)

(Madison, Wis.) Meghan Connelly was recently selected as the Vita Plus dairy nutrition and management fellowship student from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Connelly is the fourth student to participate in the program. She will gain experience in dairy nutrition and management consulting spanning three semesters and a summer. Vita Plus will fund the credits throughout the duration of the experience in return for the research and project support she will provide.

Connelly recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in May 2016, where she earned a degree in dairy science and agricultural business. While on campus, she was involved in the UWRF Dairy Challenge Team, Dairy Judging Team, Dairy Club, and Block and Bridle Club. Outside of school, she has been highly involved on her home farm, Terra McCree Holsteins in Byron, Minnesota, where she played an intricate role in all animal health and daily care decisions. In addition, she has experience as a dairy specialist intern for other feed companies and will continue to provide scientific-based advice and research to give producers their best chance at success.
