Abeyta named Vita Plus dairy specialist

(Madison, Wis.) – Megan Abeyta, Ph.D., recently joined Vita Plus as a dairy specialist. She will lead dairy sales and consulting efforts in southern Wisconsin. Abeyta will work closely with dairy producers and other consultants as she formulates rations, evaluates farm data, troubleshoots challenges, and makes farm-specific recommendations.

Abeyta earned her bachelor’s and doctorate degrees in animal science at Iowa State University. Her research focused on how stress affects gut health and production in dairy cattle. She was responsible for experimental design, planning and data collection while managing undergraduate employees. Abeyta also traveled internationally and studied abroad in Europe to learn more about the global dairy industry.
