Mensendike Named Vita Plus Lanark Dairy Specialist (February 2012)

(Lanark, Ill.) – Richard Mensendike was recently named Vita Plus Lanark dairy specialist.  Based in Lanark, Ill., Mensendike will provide ration balancing, nutrition consulting and management expertise to dairy producers throughout northern Illinois.  He will coordinate with Vita Plus technical staff to offer customized solutions to meet customers’ production goals.

Originally from Elizabeth, Ill., Mensendike is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in animal science with a meat animal emphasis.  During college, he was active in the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity and the National FFA Organization.  Until 2011, Mensendike owned a small commercial beef herd and made all breeding and marketing decisions.  He also worked at six dairy farms throughout college, focusing heavily on milk production and genetics.  Most recently, he worked for GBM Holsteins as a cattle preparation specialist and fitted cattle for shows and classification.
