How-to video: Calibrating pressure-nozzle applicator systems

A little knowledge about application equipment can go a long way toward choosing the right equipment to buy, using such equipment, and applying the correct amount of product. Previously in this series of videos, we concentrated on ultra-low volume applicators and their maintenance. In our latest video, we take a look at systems that use specific combinations of pressure and nozzle size to determine application rate. Most often, these systems apply a pint or more of liquid per ton of silage or high moisture grain. As more and more producers put up high moisture corn, snaplage or earlage, these types of systems often make the most sense.
