Vanderwerff Named Vita Plus Dairy and Livestock Specialist (February 2015)

(Madison, Wis.) Lauryn Vanderwerff recently joined the Vita Plus staff as a dairy and livestock specialist.  Based in northeast Wisconsin, Vanderwerff will provide nutrition and management consulting services for dairy and livestock producers in a team environment.  In addition, she will work closely with dealerships and network with industry experts to continually offer cutting-edge technical expertise.

Vanderwerff received her bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She continued there to receive her master’s degree in dairy science. While in school, Vanderwerff was involved with numerous research projects, teaching experiences and internships. Most recently, Vanderwerff worked with Dr. Randy Shaver to compare the feeding of brown midrib corn Shredlege® to conventionally-processed corn silage in lactating dairy cow diets.
