| Microlac Microlac is a unique stabilized microbial feed additive with added vitamins and organic selenium. MicroLac provides a proven combination of viable bacteria and live yeast with yeast culture. This combination is a particularly effective microbial combination for transition cows and high producing cows. The viable bacteria strains are specifically selected to maintain a population of lactic acid utilizes in the rumen. These bacteria reduce total lactic acid levels reducing rumen acidity. | Rumi-N-Rich Rumi-N-Rich is a blend of buffers, research proven in lactating dairy cows to aid milk production in early lactation, stimulate feed intake, increase a depressed fat test, and help prevent a slump in production due to hot weather. Rumi-N-Rich is more effective than any single buffer because of its unique combination of buffering agents. Rations that are high in readily fermentable carbohydrates, low in fiber, wet, or without adequate particle size may produce acids in excess of the animal's capacity to neutralize it. High environmental temperatures will aggravate the acidosis problem. Decreased appetite, lowered milk production, depressed fat test, laminitis, and poor feed utilization are all associated with acidosis. Rumi-N-Rich will help alleviate an acidosis problem, or more importantly prevent it from starting. Twenty-four buffer research studies over 10 years showed an average increase, or benefit, of 2.2 pounds of milk and 0.08 percentage units of fat from feeding buffer. |
