Express
is formulated for
today's genetics during the growing (40-120 lb pig) phase. Swine Grower Express
makes it convenient to add vitamin and mineral fortification, salt, and
crystalline lysine and methionine to complete swine diets in one 60 lb bag. Research has demonstrated that when amino acids are properly balanced in diets, pigs have improved feed conversion and average daily gain. Proper amino acid balance is also important for maximizing carcass leanness and carcass merit premiums. |

is formulated specifically
for today's leaner genetics. This base mix is generally used after the Swine
Grower Express base mix. Swine Finisher Express is fortified to maximize performance of pigs weighing over 50 lb. The inclusion of this base mix is variable based on animal weight, sex, and environment. Swine Finisher Express is available with either BMD® or non-medicated. |

is designed to give the
producer the flexibility to add crystalline lysine to swine grower and finisher
diets. Swine Finisher Express Plus Lysine makes it convenient to add
fortification, salt, and crystalline lysine to complete swine diets in one 60 lb
bag. Swine Finisher Express Plus Lysine is available with either
BMD® or non-medicated. There are cost justifications in using synthetic lysine in swine diets when the price of 100 lbs of soybean meal is more than 97 lb of corn and 3 lb of lysine. The fortification in Swine Finisher Express Plus Lysine is identical to Swine Finisher Express which makes it easy to switch programs based on economics. |
| Swine Finisher Express Plus Phytase
Most of the phosphorus
contained in plant seeds is bound to phytic acid and not absorbed by swine. While
inorganic phosphorus from dicalcium phosphate is absorbed with almost 100%
efficiency, only about 15% of the phytate phosphorus in corn and soybean meal is
available. Phytase is an enzyme that breaks down the phytate bound molecule and makes the phosphorus available in the pig. Phytase is produced naturally from the fermentation of Aspergillus niger fungi. Because phytase releases the phytate bound phosphorus, Swine Finisher Express Plus Phytase needs less phosphorus than other Swine Finisher Express base mixes to properly fortify diets. Complete feeds manufactured with Swine Finisher Express Plus Phytase will contain about 0.1% less total phosphorus than standard diets, but will supply equal amounts of phosphorus that is available for absorption by the pig. |
| Sow Excel
is a base mix specifically
designed to meet the requirements of the high-producing sow. The stresses of
limit feeding, close confinement, heavy lactation, and quick rebreeding combine
to increase the nutrient needs of the sow. Her requirements can be economically
met by including 90 lb of Sow Excel per ton of complete feed. Sow Excel contains an ideal amount and ratio of calcium and phosphorus. Essential nutrients such as Vitamin E, choline, biotin, folic acid, pyridoxine, and thiamin have been included at optimum levels. | Sow Express
Pack
is used in conjunction with
grow-finish base mixes or concentrates when formulating sow diets. Sow Express Pack provides the additional minerals and vitamins needed to maximize reproductive performance of high-producing sows. Minerals and vitamin levels need to be high in gestation diets due to limit feeding. Extra fortification is required in lactation diets to maximize milk production and reduce the use of body reserves of protein and energy by the sow. Sow Express Pack is included at 30 lb per ton combined with 60 lb per ton of Swine Finisher Express. |
