Eliminate the waiting game and safely bale at higher moistures (16-30%) without the risk of spoilage! University tests show that baling hay at 25% moisture recovers up to 580 lb more dry matter per acre! Use Bale Champ for better hay preservation at higher moisture levels. Research at several universities has proven that Bale Champ Advantage
  1. Organic acids can prevent excessive heating, mold formation and dry matter loss of moist hay (16-30%) during storage.
  2. Harvesting hay at moisture levels greater than 16% reduces field losses by decreasing leaf shattering during harvest and by decreasing time of exposure to adverse weather conditions.
  3. Hay preservatives (propionic acid) reduce storage losses at hay baled at a moisture content of 16-30%. Less leaf and respiration losses in the field means more original nutrients

Citric Acid
helps maintain freshness, color and palatability. It also helps lower peak heat level.
Propylene Glycol
acts as a surfactant, which allows Bale Champ to penetrate the hay, rather than just coat the outside. This keeps the hay softer.
